Welcome to Chris' Canine Club, where we treat your pets like family!
We have been caring for all pets for close to a decade now! It all started when a family friend, retired with two full-grown German Shepherds, Bella and Roxy, decided they wanted to travel freely without worrying about who would care for their furbabies. Over the years, we have grown the business to include countless breeds of dogs, from small to large, puppies, cats, bearded dragons, chickens, ducks, etc. From staying at our client's homes to taking care of their dogs at our home, it is always incredible caring for others' loved ones. Our animals are essential, as is their care when we're away! At Chris' Canine Club, we strive to keep a clean and safe environment for all animals, whether at our home or yours. I'm so saddened that I recently lost the first two dogs I've been caring for the past ten years. It's difficult to express my pain and grief right now. Their owner was remarkable, and her passing left a huge void in my life. However, I will forever cherish the memories we shared and our laughter. The two dogs were a constant source of companionship, and I fell in love with them, so I wanted German Shepherds of my own, Ruby and Ralph, who became Bella and Roxy’s best friends. Bella and Roxy were a significant part of Chris' Canine Club, and it's hard to imagine life without them. I'm grateful for my time with my friend and the dogs, and I will always carry them in my heart. I want to thank everyone for offering condolences and support during this difficult time. If you had asked me one year ago what the next year would be like, I wouldn't have known it would be the most demanding and, at the same time, most fulfilling year of my life. This is an unusual post. I ended up in the ER today. However, I felt it necessary to share so my dog client’s parents know I take safety seriously when caring for your furry friends. Meet and greets are a crucial part of my decision-making process. I can learn a lot about a dog and its handler relatively quickly. After meeting these dogs, I create a specialized care plan knowing they might not get along with others. Ensure the dogs will be provided their own secure space inside my home, private yard time in a separate closed-off yard. Today was going to be no different. Two new dogs are scheduled to be dropped off for the week. Two dogs that previously passed the meet and greet. Two dogs had a unique, totally separated care plan from the rest. However, today was different than the rest. The morning started with a visibly nervous owner and two restless dogs. A split second was all it took for one of those dogs to go from happy getting pets to attacking both my hands viciously. Immediately after the incident, I thought about the safety of the dogs currently in my care and was forced to make the last-minute decision not to allow those dogs to enter my home and stay under my care. I am okay! I will heal. I will continue to meet and greet evaluations and make specialized care plans. Safety will remain my top priority before, during, and after your pup’s stay and for all the other pets in my care at my home or yours. A dog is an extension of ourselves. The way we act is essential. If you’re nervous, your dog will be worried. I want my clients to feel confident when leaving their dogs under my care and attention. Be relaxed and worry-free when you're arriving to drop them off. Chris is a dedicated and experienced pet caregiver who puts his heart and soul into every service he provides. He has been in pet caregiving for over a decade and has dozens of happy clients. Even during the pandemic, Chris remained vigilant about safety while maintaining convenience for his clients.
After realizing the need for non-traditional dog kennels, such as pet resorts or pet boarding, Chris decided to open his home and fenced-in yard to furry friends. In 2021, he took a significant step by transitioning from a hobby to a Limited Liability Company. Chris continues to grow his business daily with plans to expand and hopes to acquire more land shortly for his pups and yours to run and have more space.
