You can learn a lot about a person by the way he treats animals. Gentle and persuasive yet still firm and authoritative. These pets love, respect and obey their owners while following them around like groupies following a rock star. To them, their “person” IS a rock star!
If dogs could talk, this is how two regal German Shepherds named Ruby and Ralph would refer to their owner, Chris LaColle. Chris is their rock star, their protector, their “human”. Ruby is a two-year old shepherd and Ralph is LaColle’s recently-acquired six-month old shepherd. These two best friends have learned to share their owner with the many similarly adoring dogs who LaColle cares for and boards in his home. A cozy home. A welcoming home. A pet-loving home.
Chris LaColle has been an animal lover his entire life. He has been taking care of dogs, cats, chickens ~even a bearded dragon ~ since he was just a teenager. Eight years ago, Chris formalized his busy pet care business by creating Chris’ Canine Club, a home-based pet boarding service located in a peaceful residential neighborhood in Coventry. Today, he boards dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes, and disabilities.
Ralph and Ruby may be Chris’ “first loves” but he gives every dog under his care the same VIP treatment. Ample outdoor play time in a fenced-in backyard. Unlimited access to comfy furniture. A shady retreat under a covered pavilion. Plenty of personal attention with belly rubs on command! If you are off on a vacation, you can be sure that Chris is giving your dogs the vacation they deserve. You can be confident that Chris is taking care of your pet as if it is his own, knowing that your dog is truly family. They are safe, happy, and secure under Chris’ watch.
Your dog’s experience at Chris’ Canine Club always begins with an information-gathering “meet and greet” interview. Chris wants to be sure that your dog will be compatible with the other dogs in his care. He will want to assess your pets’ every need, from their eating habits to any medications they may require. Are they fully vaccinated? What is their previous boarding experience? What are their personalities, food preferences and sleep habits? Chris wants to know everything there is to know about your dog to make them the most comfortable in his home.
Pet boarding is not the only service Chris provides. Chris will housesit, drop-in to your home for walks and care for any of your other pets (including that bearded dragon!) Doggy daycare is also available as is holiday care.
